Meet Some of our New 2017 FLC Staff

One quality that makes Forest Lake Camp so unique is its wonderful, caring and professional staff. We couldn’t be more proud of all that our counselors bring to our camp community each and every summer. We look forward each month to introducing you to our new and returning counseling staff.  Over the past few months we have been sharing what our 2016 staff have been up to since the summer ended. In our January newsletter we are excited to share a few NEW staff for summer 2017!

Where are you from?  Shohola, Pennsylvania

What activities will you be involved in this summer? What excites you about this? Wilderness activities such as hikes, canoe trips, climbing etc. This really excites me because I love the outdoors, and to be able to share it with other people is awesome. 

What three words best describe you? Loud, goofy, and sincere. 

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer? The amazing memories we are going to make!

If you could be any type of food what would it be and why? An onion because it has many layers, and so do I.

If you could have any super power what would it be and why? Time travel so I can see what life was like in the past, and what it will be like in the future.

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about? Meeting new friends, learning new leadership skills, and making a positive impact in kids’ lives.

Where are you from? I’m from Caracas, Venezuela

What activities will you be involved in this summer? What excites you about this? I will be involved in soccer, which I think it’s very exciting, because I love the sport and I would love to teach the campers about teamwork and to play different games for everyone to enjoy.

What three words best describe you? Responsible, fun and caring.

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer? I would love for campers to get the same and even better experiences that I had when I was a camper at FLC, I learned a lot about different countries and cultures, and how to make friends from all over the world, and about life in general.

If you could be any kind of food, what kind would you be and why? I think I would be an Arepa (typical Venezuelan food) because it’s very versatile and it goes good with anything.

If you could have any kind of super power, what would your super power be and why? Teleportation!! Because I would love to see the world.

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about? Getting to see old friends, meeting new ones and making new campers feel at home and part of the family FLC

Where are you from?  Rennerod, Germany

What activities will you be involved in this summer? What excites you about this? I will be instructing canoeing, mountain bike and soccer.  I am excited by the different opportunities you have in each activity, whether it is cooperation, speed, agility or power and for the opportunity to pass these skills on to my campers.

What three words best describe you? Motivated, cheerful and helpful.

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer? To bring all the knowledge and interests I have closer to my campers and make it the best summer of their lives.

If you could be any kind of food, what kind would you be and why? Actually I never identified myself with some food, so I have no idea. 🙂

If you could have any kind of super power, what would your super power be and why? It would be to split myself as often as I want so I can help everybody who needs help at any time.

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about?  Coming to FLC is a completely new experience for me and I think a nice summer, a lot of fun and some great friendships will be the result of it.
