DSC_0074-XLWhat is your name? My name is Kylie Finkelstein

Where are you from? I live in Chatham, New Jersey

How did you hear about FLC? I heard about FLC through two friends who attended camp in 2015. Kailey Sprengel and Sophie Tannen both had an incredible time and they inspired me to spend a summer at FLC. The summer of 2016 was my first sleep away camp experience and I attended the three-week session.

What was your favorite activity at FLC? My two favorite activities were archery and drama. In drama I performed in the camp play of Puss DSC_0693-XLand Boots, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also loved learning how to shoot a bow and arrow in archery.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about trying camp out for the first time You should try it!  As I was deciding to come to camp, I was a bit apprehensive. I was never away from my parents for more than three days. As soon as I arrived at camp, I met so many new people who made me feel comfortable and welcome. Although I missed my family for the first couple of nights, I was so happy to be with my new FLC family.

What was one of your favorite memories about being at camp? Chanting the camp spirit cheers with my cabin after eating meals is one of my favorite memories of camp.

What are you looking forward to about returning to camp for another summer?  The camaraderie that developed was amazing!  If you are thinking of attending FLC, you will leave camp with the greatest friendships and memories you will ever make. I am already excited to attend camp in 2017.  I’m looking forward to seeing all of my friends, counselors, and participate in new activities that the senior girls camp offers.
