Meet some of our new 2017 staff

One quality that makes Forest Lake Camp so unique is its wonderful, caring and professional staff. We couldn’t be more proud of all that our counselors bring to our camp community each and every summer. We look forward each month to introducing you to our new and returning counseling staff.  In our April newsletter we are excited to share a few more NEW staff for summer 2017!

What is your name? My name is Bibiana De Souza-Schott

Where are you from?  I am from a very small town in Brazil. 

What activities will you be involved in this summer?  I will be helping in the office and hopefully I can be more involved with music. 

What three words best describe you? Positive, Outgoing and Caring

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer? I am excited to share my care, my culture and my understanding. 

If you could be any kind of food, what kind would you be and why? I would love to be cheese , it goes with everything. 

If you could have any kind of super power, what would your super power be and why? I would love to have the super power to stop hate. 

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about?  I am excited for the whole experience.

What is your name?  My name is Azra Horowitz.

Where are you from?  New York City. Originally, Dobbs Ferry New York.

What activities will you be involved with this summer? I will be leading outdoors trips this summer. I’m excited to find undiscovered lake spots, make campfires and to explore the woods around Forest Lake where it’s warm enough to sleep under the stars. 

What three words best describe you?  Conscientious, Open, Inventive

If you could be any kind of food what would it be?  An apple. I think an apple tree would be a nice place to grow up and all foods with apples are delicious, in my opinion. Also, apples can roll. Something like a cake can’t move without the help of a person.

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer?  Fun experiences, quiet time, loud times. Tips on how to design rockets. Also, skills I’ve picked up during the years when I was last a camper.

If you could have any kind of superpower what would it be and why?  The ability to travel back and forth in time. It would be amazing to relive old memories, like the first time you walked or go into the future.

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about?  Meeting the rest of the staff and campers from all over the world, being outside and active all day, hanging out at the lake.

What is your name? Elijah Gelfman-Randazzo

Where are you from?  Hastings-on-Hudson, NY

What activities will you be involved in this summer? I will be involved in many activities this summer, including baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball.  I have been part of many of these FLC activities as a camper, so it will be a great experience to teach these games to the next generation.  

What three words best describe you?  Funny, Energetic, Spirited

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer?  I am excited to share experiences like campfire and banquet with my campers, and hopefully these FLC traditions will stay with my campers like they have with me.

If you could be any kind of food, what kind would you be and why?  I would be Pancakes, because I’m a huge fan of breakfast food.

If you could have any kind of super power, what would your super power be and why? I would have super speed like Quicksilver in the X-Men, because I think the scenes with him in the movies are super cool. 

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about?  I am mostly excited to reunite with old friends from camp and become part of the atmosphere that I missed so much during the year I took off.
