As parents of three boys, one 11 years old and two teenagers, we continue to strive to keep in mind the importance of this holiday season as a time of giving and taking stock in what we are thankful for.  This can be challenging as this season also bombards us with popup sales alerts and flashy display store windows. If you are anything like us you are trying very hard to balance the pressure of falling prey to these tempting marketing gimmicks with the desire to give something to your child that will hold value and won’t be discarded after the excitement of the holiday season wears off.
