DSC_0730Family Camp! There is no better way to end the summer. Coming off of the camp season can be tough. Saying goodbyes and breaking the camp rhythm is not easy. Family Camp allows for the transition from summer to fall to not feel quite so abrupt. Family Camp allows for continued deepened relationships, non-stop fun and activity but with a little less structure, a little bit more time around the camp fire and a little bit more waterfront time!

DSC_0369If you have never considered signing up for Family Camp, you certainly should. This past week we welcomed back 8 returning families and 2 new families for our 4th year of Family Camp at FLC. The week was filled with many returning activities as well as a few new ones. Family Olympics is always a favorite and this summer we built an oversized Adirondack chair that will great campers at the welcome pavilion for years to come. We offered yoga, photography, tennis, skeet shooting, log rolling and woodshop and of course we always encourage rest hour to recharge our batteries and  maintain the active schedule.

If you are looking for a unique way to spend time with your family, consider Family Camp 2015. Enjoy the following slide show as it captures the fun and joy that a week at Forest Lake can bring to families. A big hand goes out to all those families who joined us last week. Thank you for all the fun you shared!
