At Family Camp you are able to enjoy time together as family but you equally become a part of a bigger family. The children connect in ways that only a camp environment can offer and you walk away at the end of the week feeling incredibly close to one another and the staff. As parents, you watch in wonder and pride as your children participate in activities they have never tried and you experience your own many firsts as well, taking on the climbing wall or practicing your aim in skeet. No one in our family had ever been to summer camp so we did not quite know what to expect when we signed up for Family Camp. Bottom line: we all had a blast and cannot wait to return next year! Not only was Forest Lake Family Camp a place for us to experience camp as a family, but the camp itself became an extended family during that week. One of my favorite memories of the week was always seeing the children running and walking along the paths with big smiles on their faces. Our daughters are still talking about all of their memories of the week and planning for next year’s family camp!
