Meet some of our Girls’ Camp 2016 Staff

One quality that makes Forest Lake Camp so unique is its wonderful, caring and professional staff. What is your name? Hadley Reine

Where are you from? Ithaca, NY

What activities will you be involved in this summer? What excites you about this? I am going to be involved with the wilderness and outdoor adventure programs this summer. I am super stoked to spend my days playing in the woods and the water with the campers!

What three words best describe you? Fun, Positive, Relaxed

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer? I am elated to get the chance to share my passion for the outdoors and adventure recreation sport with the campers. I hope to inspire them to continue to rock climb, hike, camp, canoe, and kayak outside of the summer camp setting.

If you could be any kind of food, what kind would you be and why? I would be red bell pepper because vegetables are delicious and very underrated.

If you could have any kind of superpower, what would your superpower be and why? I would choose the ability to pause time so that I could get a few extra hours of sleep everyday!

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about? I am delighted to spend my summer in the majestic Adirondack Mountains with the wonderful staff and campers at FLC.

How many summers have you been coming to FLC? This will be my first summer at Forest Lake Camp and I am thrilled for the experience!

What is your name? Hello! My name is Meghan Cullen. 

Where are you from? I am from Long Valley, New Jersey but I am currently attending school in South Bend, Indiana. 

What activities will you be involved in this summer? What excites you about this? I will mostly be involved with soccer, basketball, lacrosse, ultimate, as well as being a lifeguard. As a freshman at Notre Dame, I just made my school’s A team for club ultimate frisbee, a sport I learned to love and appreciate because of camp. I am excited to not only continue learning more about this incredible sport as well as to share my newfound passion for it with campers. I also look forward to attending many sports days and showing those other camps the true FLC spirit (and ability to dominate, obviously.)

What three words best describe you? Enthusiastic, fun-loving, and caring. 

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer? I am most excited to share my general love and enthusiasm for camp with my campers. I have been a part of this community for as long as I can remember and I can’t wait to show kids why this place is so special. 

 If you could be any kind of food, what kind would you be and why? I would be ice cream because then I could change my flavor every day! 

If you could have any kind of super-power, what would your super-power be and why? I would want the super-power to fly so that I could fly everywhere and visit all of my FLC friends all over the world. 

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about? I am most excited to meet all of the new people as well as reconnect with the people who I miss very much!

How many summers have you been coming to FLC? This coming summer will be my 15th summer, and my third as a counselor, I can’t wait!!!

What is your name? My name is Caroline Kravitz

Where are you from? I am from New York City! 

What activities will you be involved in this summer? What excites you about this? I’ll be the camp photographer and the LIT girls’ counselor this summer, so you’ll be seeing me all around camp taking photos and working with our incredible group of 2016 LITS! I will also be teaching creative writing, zumba fitness, lacrosse, digital photography, and possibly some softball. I’m excited to be leading the LITS and teaching some of my favorite old activities. I also can’t wait to see the submissions for the creative writing contests this summer!

What three words best describe you? Friendly, silly, and outgoing!

What are you most excited to share with your campers this summer? I cannot wait to share new zumba fitness routines and creative writing prompts! 

If you could be any kind of food, what kind would you be and why? Sweet potato fries — my absolute favorite!

If you could have any kind of super power, what would your super power be and why Does being a wizard count as a super power? I love Harry Potter!

What about coming to FLC are you most excited about? I can’t wait to reunite with old campers and staff, and meet the newcomers. I also love being in the Adirondacks and can’t wait for star-gazing —  we don’t see starry skies very often in the city — and hikes up to Lookout!

How many summers have you been coming to FLC? This summer will be my 9th  at FLC — I love it way too much to stay away!
