It was another incredibly successful Family Camp season at FLC. What a pleasure it is to end the summer season enjoying all the wonderful things about camp with so many great families. This summer marked our 5th consecutive summer of Family Camp. It is always amazing to welcome our veteran families back who have been with us since the beginning while introducing new families to the traditions and fun of Family Camp!
A lot goes on in a short week of Family Camp at FLC. It is hard to imagine unless you live it. The families become very close, similar to friendships formed during summer camp amongst our campers and staff. One of our veteran families of 4 summers composed and sang a song at our final campfire of Family Camp. It is to the tune of “Tomorrow” from the Broadway show Annie. It sums up the activity, the fun, the camaraderie and the diversity of the week we have all come to love and cherish.
