the perfect Adirondack Wedding Venue

weddings at FLC

If you are looking at the perfect Adirondack Wedding retreat you need look no further. At Forest Lake Camp, we strive to provide you with a truly unforgettable wedding celebration for you and your guests.

Acres and Acres

All to yourself

When you decide to celebrate your wedding with us, not only do you have the 823 acre property, 25 acre lake, 20 miles of private hiking and biking trails, the athletic fields and all camp buildings exclusively available to you and your guests, you also have the beauty and majesty of the Adirondack Park surrounding you.

Located an hour north of Albany and just a 10 minute drive from either the south or north exit on I-87 we are perfectly located for your guests to find but also hidden away at the end of a private road, giving you a secluded, private experience. Plus you have the opportunity to design how you will spend your time on the property.

The Ceremony

We have so many options that you can choose from and it really comes down to a matter of personal choice. At the lake, around the campfire, at home plate or a short hike out to the nature center? The possibilities are endless and part of the fun in deciding where you will hold your ceremony occurs when you tour the property.

Our guests had a blast down at the lake using the rolling log, paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, and playing volleyball.

Accommodation

With traditional camp cabins and various administrative buildings, we have the ability to house up to 200 guests. We provide a set of wedding linens that consists of a top and bottom sheet, 2 blankets, a pillowcase and pillow. We also have hand towels in each of the cabins. You get to choose who sleeps where and decide what is right for your guests. Upon arrival, we will meet and greet your guests with a warm welcome and point them in the direction of their cabin.

Food

Our stunning mess hall, which opened at the start of the 2016 season, is a welcome addition to the property. While it incorporates many rustic elements of our old mess hall, it also provides guests with a modern dining experience in a beautiful facility. A large central wall that can be raised or lowered to turn 2 large rooms into 1, easy access to and from the BBQ area, a covered deck space, and stone fireplaces are among the bespoke features included in the building. With a fully fitted kitchen and dish room, our chefs are ready to help create a range of traditional dishes for your event. As our chefs are contracted for a full season, we are able to provide competitive pricing and also work with you on your menu in advance.

pricing

Our pricing is very simple and a sample price can be found below. There is a fee to rent the entire 800 acre property for up to 150 guests (we can accommodate 200 overnight guests and hold receptions for 300) and a food services fee. Other extras that you can add on are: rental for tableware, a sound system, and additional summer camp activities, which include archery, climbing and skeet shooting. Guests can (at your request) be asked to contribute towards their food and lodging and it is common place for wedding couples to do this and to ask us to help collect this at check in. Alternatively there are a number of websites you can use to collect fees from your guests in advance.

Alcohol Policy

We anticipate that many couples and their guests would like to enjoy an adult beverage. Forest Lake Camp is an adult beverage friendly location. While we can negotiate the purchase and supply of alcohol on your behalf, we recommend a self serve bar and that you purchase the beverages you require as this is a more cost effective approach. Should you wish to engage the services of a bartender, we would be happy to recommend someone that we have worked closely with at previous weddings. At the Friday BBQ we will also make our special ‘beer canoe’ available, our unique way of providing your guests with a ‘cold one’. This has proved a popular addition to Forest Lake Camp weddings.

Music and Entertainment

We have our own sound system that is available for you to hook up an ipod or laptop to. If you wish to hire a DJ or a band, we would be happy to provide you with several excellent recommendations. All we ask is that any amplified music should be finished at midnight but of course, you can stay up around your campfire until as late as you like.
