I hope this email finds you well. As you can see from the pictures below, FLC is open and ready for summer 2017! Thanks to alum, Geoff Neu and Steve Gadziala and a number of staff and friends for helping to get FLC open this year! It was hard work, but lots of fun to work together to clean buildings, set up waterfront and prepare activity areas for a very busy summer. This year we will host 3 weddings before summer camp even begins! A special thanks to Geoff and Gadz for their hard work and companionship!
I hope that many of you will be able to see how great camp looks and to re-experience the magic of FLC this August during our Alumni Weekend, August 18th-20th. Our planning committee made up of alumni, Chris Stamm, Emily Daniels, Marc Grelsamer, Michael Pariseau, Bob Blanck, Caroline Meyer, Dan Murphy, and Kate Wilson, are working hard to reach out to alumni and organize a weekend which will most definitely be a ‘must attend’ event! A big hand to this group for their commitment and dedication to FLC!
Below you will see an invite for our Alumni Weekend, written by Kate Wilson (O’Rourke), and an offer as an FLC alumn to come up this summer to participate in one of our weekly Sunday night campfires.
Please take a moment to read on. We sincerely hope we will have the opportunity to see you this summer, whether it is for our alumni weekend or a special performance at one of our campfires this summer!
PS. All proceeds from our Alumni Weekend will go toward supporting The Ollie Van Cise Campership Fund.
Sincerely,
Gene and Lilly Devlin

Dear Forest Lake Camp Alumni,
In the Adirondack Mountains, not so far from old Lake George….
Summer is almost here! As it approaches I am reminded of that feeling we all get when we turn onto the camp road. Whether you are there for two summers or twenty the feeling is the same. Excitement, anticipation, endless possibilities and the magic that is FLC.
A special alumni reunion weekend is planned for August 18 – 20th this year! I know from experience that it will be an amazing weekend filled with all your camp favorites. The difficult part is deciding to make it happen. The easy part is being there, reminiscing, passing along your FLC story and continuing the traditions that will make us all remember being a camper, a lifeguard, a counselor, a hiker, a story teller, and a musician again. And as a bonus you will experience the new mess hall – campers have it easy these days. Please register, say you’ll be there. I love telling my FLC story and I can’t wait to hear yours around campfire.
Check out the details https://forestlakecamp.com/alumni-reunion-weekend-aug-18th-20th/ and then please register: https://forestlakecamp.com/alumni-weekend/
I hope you’ll be there. I’m looking forward to it already!
Lastly, please spread the word to other fellow camp friends, either by email or social media – your help is greatly appreciated.
Kate Wilson (O’Rourke) 1990-1992
My three kids are FLC campers! And I worked in the front office for two summers – just like Sally Confer – a hard act to follow!

CAMPFIRE
What do you miss most about FLC? When we ask this questions to our alumni, we often hear them say CAMPFIRE! FLC’s traditional campfire is a hallmark experience for our campers and our staff. To this end, we want to extend an invitation to our alumni to come up and participate in one of our campfires this summer, whether it is to open campfire with BALI BALI, or close the campfire with a song or share a closing story, or anything in between, you are welcome and encouraged to join us! We have included the dates below of our campfires. Your are also welcome to come up and stay over either Saturday or Sunday night, and join us for meals. Please email [email protected] or call us at 518-623-4771 for more details or to arrange a visit.
