The focus of our team sport activities at Forest Lake Camp is on development of our camper’s skills. With the emphasis on taking each camper’s ability to the next level regardless of the starting point.
Our counselors are trained to instruct in a way that enables a camper to play at her current level and not be under or over-matched. Our well maintained facilities, vast fields and safe venues allow each camper to concentrate on improving their skills.
Team Sports
Forest Lake Camp offers over 50 camp activities, some of the most popular activities are our team sports including Softball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Rugby and Ultimate Frisbee.

Sportsmanship is Essential
At FLC, everyone plays
The two guiding principles of our Team Sports pillar are Inclusion and Participation. Everyone plays and sportsmanship is essential. We strive to not only teach the skills of each sport but we strive to teach life skills of inclusiveness and fair play.
The athletic program for team sports includes daily activities, Camp Competitions (both Inter and Intra Camp) and specialty clinics.
The daily activities involve all campers and the emphasis is on instruction and support. Staff are carefully selected for their expertise and teaching skills, providing our campers with a wealth of positive reinforcement and areas to improve in these daily activities.

Inter and Intra Camp Competitions
There is an “intramural” program in which the four Camp teams (Green and White, Red and Blue) compete in a range of activities called Color War, these take place every week. There is also the opportunity for campers to join one of our FLC teams that compete against other local camps.

Specialty Clinics
Each summer we host several specialty clinics ranging from soccer and tennis taught by professional coaches to underwater robot building lead by an alumni science teacher. Clinics vary by session and are scheduled according to availability of coaches and visiting experts.
