At FLC, we know that a positive camp experience is one of the defining moments of a young person’s life. Confidence and independence are developed, health and physical vitality exercised, and enduring, life-long memories and friendships are created.

Since 1926, generations of campers have found this and a second home at Forest Lake Camp. The extended Forest Lake Camp family – counselors, LIT’s, alumni, owners and directors – feel that this traditional camp experience is more relevant today than ever. We give campers the chance to get away from cell phones and the pressures of everyday life through enjoying the outdoors, appreciating the beauty of the Adirondack mountains, and building new friendships they will carry with them their whole lives.

At FLC we take great pride in our camp atmosphere, where hundreds of campers feel comfortable enough to take risks, try new things and learn values and skills that will carry into their lives outside camp. Campers and staff leave this remarkable place with a new extended family and another ‘home’ they can come back to again and again.

FLC is a traditional sleep-away camp located in the Adirondack mountains of New York. We are a “Brother-Sister camp” with separate camps for Boys and Girls.

Spend your summer enjoying our 800 acres of private property with endless hiking trails and our own lake. Since 1926 we have been providing children from all over the world with a traditional camp experience that helps build independence, confidence, skills, and friendships that last a lifetime.

Located in the Southern Adirondack Mountains of New York just north of Lake George, Forest Lake Camp is a traditional overnight summer camp with separate programs for boys and girls. Forest Lake Camp has enriched the lives of thousands of boys and girls and generations of families since 1926.

Many of our original campers have sent their own children (and now grandchildren) to FLC. Grandparents often visit FLC to admire the changes and updates on camp, along with the classic camp scenery that remains familiar and untouched by time. Our broad range of activities will provide your child with the opportunity to try new things, learn new skills, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in the Adirondack Mountains.

The Perfect Summer Camp Setting

Forest Lake Camp sits on 823 acres at the southern end of the Adirondack Park in New York State. You can see the southern Adirondack peaks from various locations on our camp property. One of our most popular summer camp features is Forest Lake, our very own private, spring fed lake, where campers swim, sail, and cool down after a busy day of camp activities.

FLC is a Brother Sister Camp

FLC is a brother/sister camp where our boys camp and girls camp each have their own distinct programs, activities, camps, and living areas. Distinct from a coed camp, the separate girls and boys camp programs co-exist on our same FLC property, providing a unique unisex experience for each.

The brother/sister camp arrangement is a great option for families that want to send brothers and sisters to the same location while providing each their own camp experience in a safe comfortable setting aside from the boundaries and expectations that surround them during the rest of the year.

While the programs are separate, on certain special events (such as Campfire) the two camps unite to create a shared experience.

Sessions and Programs

We offer 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 week programs for boys and girls aged 8-15.

No matter how long you would like your son or daughter to visit camp, we have multiple options for you to choose from. We really can’t imagine a better place to spend a summer! Visit our rates and dates page for more information.

We also offer a Family Camp week at the end of summer. Family Camp is an opportunity for the whole family (parents included) to enjoy a fun-filled summer camp experience.
