This year on Tuesday December 2nd Forest Lake Camp is joining more than 6,000 charitable organizations in celebrating Giving Tuesday. What is Giving Tuesday you ask? Well, it is a movement started in 2012 that unifies charities, corporations, small businesses, and individuals from across the globe to show that the world gives as good as it gets!
Please consider a gift to The Ollie Van Vise Campership fund. Join together with Forest Lake Camp by making your gift by December 2nd on this national day of giving!
Ollie Van Cise Campership Fund was established in 2013 in memory of Ollie Van Cise, a highly respected member of FLC for an uninterrupted tenure of thirty years. Click here to learn more about Ollie and the impact he had at FLC.
Through the Ollie Van Cise Campership Fund we have been able to support and provide financial assistance to a dozen different families over the past two summers. This previous summer the Ollie Van Cise Campership fund supported two full scholarship campers from the Albany NY Refugee Community. Thanks to the generous donations that we have received through our campership fund, we were fortunate enough to share the “magic” of FLC with two campers from Burmese. It was a remarkable experience for both campers as well as for our whole community.
Please join us on December 2nd and support Giving Tuesday by offering a donation to our campership fund! Help us start “Opening Day” of the charitable giving season with a BANG!
Forest Lake Camp has partnered with the American Camp Association (ACA) to create the Ollie Van Cise Campership Fund. Contributions payable to ACA can be designated to our Campership Fund.
This program accepts tax-deductible donations, which directly provide scholarships for campers at Forest Lake Camp. The selection of recipients, from scholarship applications received, occurs annually prior to the camp season.
