I first attended FLC in 1997 when I was 11 years old. For the first week I was a bit scared, but thankfully had my older brother at the boys camp to help me cope. My second time at FLC was during the summer of 1999, and 2 of my best friends from home went with me. FLC provided me with two of the best summers I have had. The friendships I built there, the amazing activities, and the sense of family felt throughout camp is something I will cherish my entire life. As a mom, I hope to one day send my son to FLC so that he experiences what I felt during those two summers. There are times when I close my eyes and I can feel fhe light breeze and smell the fresh air at the waterfront. Thanks FLC!
I have no words to describe what FLC means to me. Every summer after 1999 I always think of the time when I will be able to go back and visit. My son is only 4 years old right now, but when the time comes he’ll be going to FLC.
